Terms & Conditions
General Terms and Conditions
You and the hotel agree to the terms and conditions for room rental. The name of the company operating the hotel (hereinafter referred to as ‘Ure Lodge AS’ or ‘the Hotel’) and with whom the agreement is made is stated in the booking confirmation. Unless a special agreement has been made, the following rules apply. Special rules apply for conferences and group bookings.
Booking and Confirmation
A booking is binding when it is confirmed and you have received a booking reference number. You can receive this orally, in writing, or through our booking system. When making a booking, you must provide your name, address, email address, arrival and departure time, and payment method. It is important to provide your email address so you can receive the booking confirmation and check in and out online. Different conditions apply to different rates; please see the detailed price information. To book a room at Ure Lodge, you must be 18 years or older. If you book a room for a minor, you are responsible for that person, whether or not you stay in the room with them. NOTE that minors under 18 are not allowed to stay overnight unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. A permission document is not sufficient. For security reasons, only staff and checked-in guests have access to our hotel rooms and other reserved areas.
Arrival and Departure
Arrival and departure times may vary depending on the booking and pricing agreements. Please carefully read the information in the price list before completing the booking. For quick answers, check our FAQ.
Reserved cabins/hotel rooms are guaranteed to be ready for check-in from 17:00 on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 11:00 on the day of departure.
For security reasons, all guests over 18 must present valid identification. The hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking if valid identification cannot be provided.
Cancellations and No-Shows
Cancellation terms depend on the price agreed upon at the time of booking. Carefully read the information in the price list. Unless otherwise agreed upon at the time of booking or if different terms apply to the chosen rate, cancellations are allowed until 17:00 local time on the day of arrival. If you do not show up and have not canceled the booking in advance, or if you cancel after 17:00 local time, you will be charged for the entire stay. If the hotel has incurred costs specifically related to your booking, you are obliged to cover such expenses.
Early Departure and Indefinite Stay
If you have booked a room for a certain period but leave the hotel earlier, this may result in a price adjustment. Contact the hotel and inform them of your departure. If you are staying at the hotel for an indefinite period and extend your stay on a night-to-night basis, you must notify the hotel of your departure by 17:00 the day before departure. Otherwise, you must pay for an extra night. If the hotel does not have available rooms, the hotel must inform you by 17:00 the day before you must leave the hotel.
Late Check-Out
The day before departure, you will receive an email with options for online check-out. Through this portal, guests can request a late check-out. The regular check-out time is 11:00.
Hotel Obligations and Guest Requests
If the hotel cannot provide you with a room as agreed, you have the right, at no extra cost, to an equivalent or better room at the hotel or a hotel of similar standard. Inform the hotel staff of any requests you have when booking so the hotel can prepare for your stay. Our hotels have non-smoking rooms. If a guest violates the smoking ban, the hotel has the right to charge the guest for any costs incurred. If you wish to bring a pet, please inform the hotel when booking, as options may be limited.
Damages
Damage or theft guidelines
Guests, or those responsible for the room, are liable for any damage to the premises due to negligence or irresponsible behavior. Please note that all cabins and hotel rooms are non-smoking. In case of violation, the hotel will charge a fee for extra cleaning, set at NOK 2000, which will be added to the guest’s final bill.
Minibar Charges
Guests, or those responsible for the room, are liable for any unpaid or missing items from the minibar after their stay. Any outstanding minibar charges will be added to the guest’s final bill.
Payment
For certain price offers, prepayment is required. See our price list for more details. The prepayment amount will be deducted from the final bill. If the booking is canceled after the cancellation deadline, the hotel has the right to retain a booking fee/prepayment. The room bill is normally paid upon arrival at the hotel. All our hotels accept major credit and debit cards. The hotel is not obliged to accept checks, vouchers, or foreign currency unless it offers this service.
Tourist Tax
Currently, there is no tourist tax in Lofoten/Vestvågøy/Norway.
Storage of Valuables and Luggage
As a general rule, valuables can be stored in the hotel’s safe. Do not leave valuables or luggage unattended in the lobby/common areas when checking in or out, having breakfast, or waiting for a taxi. For security reasons, the hotel is not obliged to store high-value items or items that may endanger hotel staff or guests. The hotel is not fully responsible for items you store in your room or luggage storage.
Personal Safety
Always familiarize yourself with emergency exits, alarm switches, and fire extinguishers. See the instructions on the back of your hotel room door.
Processing of Personal Data
Ure Lodge AS processes personal data provided by those using our services and products. Ure Lodge AS, and the hotel where you have booked accommodation, are both data controllers for personal data related to your booking. This processing of personal data will be carried out in accordance with Ure Lodge AS policies.
