Trip with Nordland boat

Join us on a trip back to the 19th century.

We take a trip out with the traditional Nordland boat in beautiful surroundings in the waters around Ure. If we get wind, we sail, if the wind is calm, we take hold of the oars and get a good trim (and some water blisters).

Ure Lodge is proud of Ure’s history which stretches all the way back to the Viking Age. Ure has been a center for fishing for a number of years, and around Ure you can see pictures from the time when this was one of the largest fishing villages in Lofoten. Ure Lodge has several traditional boats to remind us of the good craftsmanship, seamanship, toil and knowledge of our ancestors.
